Heroes/ Farming
Everyone needs to collect high attributed heroes, mostly attack (to do attacks and to set as mayor for when you queue troops- it makes the training time shorter). You should have one politics hero as your mayor for building, an Intel for research (if you still have those to do) and several attack heros. You should start looking for heros with base attributes of 60 or higher, and slowly weeding out those that don’t have that as you get ones that do (so you’re not left with no hero’s at all lol). To find the base attribute, take the level of a hero, and subtract the attribute. Ie a lvl 30 hero with 65 attack points- the base attack would be 35 (which is bad, really bad lol). This math works for all attributes :) (---- side note, do not set champions, we don’t want the reds being able to see our heros :p )
Next, leveling your heros. To do this, you’ll have to start farming low level npcs- lvl 1-5. You’ll need to acquire at least 400 transporters/ ballistae, each, to start with. Only farm lvl 1-5 npcs, any higher and you'll take unnecessary losses. DO NOT FARM WITH ANYTHING OTHER THAN BALLISTA AND TRANSPORTS. It’s not worth the troops you would lose. And, you should try to get at least 1500 of each in each city.
For a lvl 1 npc, send 50 transports and ballistae.
Lvl 2, 75 trans/ball each
Lvl 3, 175 of each
Lvl 4, 300
Lvl 5, 400
(Farming 10s- do not attempt unless your attack heroes are high enough to farm safely: 1550 workers, 1800 warriors, 1550 scouts, 1700 trans, the rest archers)
Please also keep in mind, that each time you attack an npc, its returns diminish greatly, until there is nothing left, and that includes the amount of experience your hero gains by attacking it. You have to farm several npcs, even if you have to march a little ways to get to it. This will also be helpful in the future when you need to find npcs to farm because of your food bill, to know where they all are.

Medal Farming
Please use this guide to help you medal farm. Send exactly what it tells you to send, where it tells you to send. If it says to send at an npc, always send equal number of transports with the ballista (only send trans and ballista at npcs) so that you can farm the npc at the same time. Two birds, one stone.

Cities
You should have as many cities as your title will allow. No having only a few cities, for whatever reason, unless you are replacing them ASAP with 10’s, and DEFINITELY no only having 1 city- that is pres farming and it is not tolerated.
Build your Feasting Hall! You need it for heroes to medal farm to get your King/Queen!
You only need 4-5 cottages. Start with that. Fill in the rest of the spaces with barracks, and be sure to upgrade everything as high as you can go. You can combat the pop problem by setting your production to 0 and letting it replenish, then training troops and setting production back at whatever you had it at. For your resources: for NEW players, start with a 4 way split between them all, then, as you get bigger, start swapping out quarries until you only have one left. Put in mines and sawmills instead. Then, start getting rid of farms. You only NEED a couple, but iron and lumber will sell high in the market and can buy you food. Build all of the other buildings in your city that it asks you to, other than a warehouse (you only need one in a single city for the research, but they’re kinda useless). As you get bigger, you can start getting rid of a couple of buildings, but that’s for a later time.

Recommended troop builds: <- most common config to build towards
4:1 war : arch (for every 1 archer, have 4 warriors) You can do 5:1 as well, but 4:1 is the minimum you need to properly cover your archers.
1:1 arch sword
2:1 arch pike
4:1 arch cav
8:1 arch phract
2:1 balls rams
1:1 arch scout
10:1 war ball
2:1 ball pult
This means that for every 4 warriors, you should have 1 archer, and vice versa. This ensures that your archers are covered in battle and you don’t lose more than you have to. Transports aren't included, as they’re not an offensive/ defensive troop type, though you should have at least 2K in each city for farming. More is always acceptable though :)

War City/ Troop Building
I suggest everyone start off by setting up a troop city (which may later become your war city). This means that as you build your troops, you send the majority of them to one city (or two, if you prefer) to help balance out the food bill that comes with having a lot of troops. This allows your other cities to continuously farm and build without getting stuck because of lack of food in all of your cities.

Hero Gears (work on your colony achievement and max that out, it will help with drops from npcs and valleys)
First, any cents you get should be saved to go towards your gears. I highly suggest leveling your ring and charm first, as they count double on your hero (you can check this by clicking on your hero and looking at the hero gear slots, ring and charm are counted twice), followed by your mount as this will make travel time much quicker. Lost Armour Scripts can be gained by farming npc’s (any level, I got way more than I even needed just from low level npcs; lvl 1-5), so you don’t necessarily have to buy them. The drop rate will go up substantially as you finish your colony achievements. Materials are a lot harder to get. You’re SUPPOSED to be able to farm them from level 10 valleys, but I was never able to and don’t know many people who were, which is where your cents would come in. You can try farming, and I encourage it, any free items are good, but still, any cents should go towards your gears first, before other items.
****Stars: I would not bother giving yourself the headache of playing with the stars until your gears are at a semi high level. Then I would suggest just getting a 9 set, as it will give you a life bonus, and it won’t take nearly as many gems, and less work you have to redo as you level them up again. Once they are level 10, start working on them to get your 15 :) You can ask any experienced player how they go about getting them, especially from people who already have their 15 sets, ie Ogliss, Bow2Master, etc in Stealth or the numerous people in the Skype room.
